It is not 30% less on calories than regular CDM
Why mess with success? It does not taste like CDM. It is a slimmer, thinner 'square' that is stickier, and it does not have many less calories than the original! So the point is...just getting 30% less sugar on the wrapper for something that is way short of the mark?
I echo the review by "myexperience" from 28th August 2019. No artificial sweeteners, and the flavour to me is only a slight shade different from normal dairy milk chocolate. I actually find myself eating a lot less chocolate in one go than I normally would with regular dairy milk due to the lower sugar content. This is my new favourite non-premium chocolate! I would like to see different flavours using this chocolate as the base - like whole nut, caramel and fruit and nut. Whilst this would add to the sugar content, it'd be a lot less than it otherwise be with the regular dairy milk bars of the same flavour. My only bugbear is the price for the weight of the bar (plus making it a lower price than regular dairy milk might encourage others to make a healthier choice). It is a little expensive to make this a regular purchase - I'll just wait 'til it's on offer. However I think it still deserves 5 stars.
I prefer it to the original. So creamy and smooth, plus the calls arent too bad in the small bar when you need a little something but arent good on control. Just wish they could take out the palm oil!
Hits the spot
Others are right to say this doesnt taste like the original, but it still tastes good. I have gestational diabetes and can tolerate this really well so its nice to have a sweet option. Lower sugar and carb content per 100g than many of the dark chocolates.
It tastes rather like homemade Cadbury Dairy Milk. Just not quite right and an unpleasant texture which sticks to your mouth. Ill pass thanks.
Very tasty, better than normal version
