Now it is £8 a bottle it is ok
I am reviewing this wine as I had a free bottle from Ocado to review. All in all, it is a nice bottle of wine, had it with lamb and went really well. Supposedly this will go well with chicken chop suey or risotto, as well. But I would not pay £10 for a bottle
tasty red
I received free blahblah...contrary to most of the reviewers I actually thought this was a decent red. I aired for about an hour before drinking so maybe that made a difference. Agree it's not really worth £10+ but would happily buy again if it was around £8. No complaints, though.
Mid\-range quality but at an inflated price
I received this free as part of an Ocado promotion. I'm no wine snob but I know what I like and I usually go for a decent Merlot or an Amarone, both are full-bodied and fruity, leaving the palate dry and wanting for more. When I opened this I had great hope as it smelled delicious but I was about to dissappointed. Even after an hour or so airing at room temperature it still had an acidic bite. Don't get me wrong, this isn't bad wine but it really isn't worth the £10.50 price tag. I'd be happy paying £6.50 if I'm honest, there are so many really good wines around that compare well and offer better value. Crimson colour and oily on the glass, blackberry and leather flavours give way rapidly to a dry mid-palate and a vaguely fruity finish.
Average Red
We were given this wine to review for Ocado. Whilst it is perfectly quaffable it is not up to a £10 per bottle standard.
Disappointed
Im reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. I wouldn't spit it out but it didn't taste good. If I'd bought it I'd be very disappointed. I normally try to spend less than £10 on a bottle of wine so I'm not really fussy but I like it to taste better than this.
Quaffable
Im reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. This is a well balanced red and a perfectly quaffable bottle! Would be more than happy to purchase again.
