brilliant tinned tomatoes

These tomatoes make the perfect sauce, not acidic, good thick consistency, great taste!

Enjoyable as a treat

I was given these to review and they were a success. These are small to medium plum tomatoes in a rich juice. The tomatoes themselves have a really good shape and look attractive and both the juice and the fruit are tasty. The price is high so you really want to use them as the main part of a dish so that their flavour can be appreciated I had them with some meatballs but I think they would make a great soup.

Whole mini tomatoes

I received this from Ocado as a free sample to review and I have to admit I didn’t read the tin properly! These are whole tomatoes in juice, albeit the mini Marzino version. I have them a bit of a whizz with the blender and used to make a Napoli sauce for spaghetti. Nice, but there is another brand I buy from Ocado that I personally prefer. Having said that, if I wanted them for another reason (tomatoes on toast for example) then these would be a good choice.

I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. They're good but expensive, so need to be used in a plain recipe which really relies on the tomatoes
