always great
No complaints quality is always great
Mouldy on opening
Several packs of this have been mouldy on opening, despite being in date. Very off putting and really not acceptable.
Not great, not terrible, good for the lazy
I admit that I like this as pretty much all of my cheese use is grated (and it is no negative to use the small amount that isn't in that form) so it saves a lot of time and hassle to have it like this. I am not quite so sure it keeps well in the bag however, and value is very poor compared to the M&S grated cheese which tastes almost identical but keeps better and cost less.
well below the standard expected by cathedral city
This cheese didnt melt, and resembles little blocks of chalk or plastic. Really not comparable to other products from cathedral city. Other brand grated options are far preferable. I think maybe theyve changed the recipe. Really not worth the purchase, completely ruins any meal its part of
Strange cheese?
Was sent two bags of this as a substitute. The taste was ok but not as good as it used to be years ago. The strange thing was that when sprinkled over a mashed potato topped pie, despite being in a gas mark 6 oven for 40 minutes, this cheese didn’t properly melt? On another occasion it took 20 minutes under a full on grill to actually start to melt. Looked on packet and found it contains potato starch - is this why it wouldn’t melt? My usual grated cheese is melted within a minute or two.
Handy grated version of our favourite cheese
This has made packed lunches easier, it is slightly powdery but much better then other grated cheeses Ive tried. Quick and easy for sandwiches or toastie.
