All cheddar is naturally low in lactose, but we test every batch of our Lactose Free Cheddar to guarantee it's lactose free. So whether you're lactose intolerant or it's simply a lifestyle choice, you can still enjoy the great taste of Cathedral City.
Up and down the country, sitting splendidly in a sandwich or bubbling beautifully on toast, there's nothing quite like Cathedral City. That's because our award winning Cornish creamery only uses milk from dedicated West Country farmers to create our distinctive, smooth, creamy cheddar every time. Which is why we're proud to be The Nation's Favourite.
All of our milk is 100% British and sourced from around 350 local dairy farmers in the South West, the heart of England's richest milk fields.

Tastes the same!
Its tastes the same as the mature cheddar!! We were previously buying other brands of dairy free cheese since my other half was diagnosed as lactose intolerant, but now we will stick with this
lactose free cheese that tastes good at last
no not good fantastic, it has the taste of the normal Cathedral City which I used to adore before my lactose intolerance got worse
lovely tasty cheese, a shame it's so much more expensive than the other.
Bought this for a lactose free child but loved by all members of the family. They said they couldnt taste the difference between this and the regular Cathedral City Cheddar!
Same taste, no side effects
I was a little surprised by this cheese as I expected it to taste different than normal cheddar but it doesn't. Tastes great, not too crumbly, and melts down nicely. I'm lactose intollerant and suffered none of the usual unpleasant side effects of cheese after eating this.
You wouldnt know the difference between lactose-free cheese and the normal Cathedral cheese. Its amazing!!!!
