For feeding in a CJ Wildlife fat ball feeder
CJ Wildlife fat balls are loved by a wide range of wild birds including tits, finches and woodpeckers. Easy to use, simply feed them whole from a CJ Wildlife fat ball feeder (sold separately) or chop them up and scatter them on to a bird table. We deliberately do not use nets as these can become a hazard to wild birds. This pack contains 6 CJ Wildlife fat balls, average weight 88g each.

must be yummy
Never last more than a day in my garden!
Yes they are tough. But in my garden, Magpies first fly to the feeder and give them a good hammering, followed by a jackdaw, then all the smaller birds have a go. Bought these for first time on Saturday, and put out four on Saturday in feeder. Today early Monday morning, two and a bit left. Small birds love them.
Birds won't touch these
It's strange - my birds love fat balls, but for some reason they won't touch these!
Has something been changed
Compulsive eating sparrows have gone right off these lately. They used to be mad for them and they'd not last a couple of days. I doubt it's the sparrows that have changed so am wondering if something has been tweaked in the ingredients here or if quality of ingredients has been reduced...? Little point in continuing to buy them now.
More birds visiting my garden
Blackbirds and robins very appreciative.
sometimes good, sometimes not
Have been buying these fat balls for a long time as in the past the birds have absolutely loved them, the last couple of batches however seemed really hard and only the jackdaws could break through them. In the end I crumbled them up myself and put them onto another feeder I have, and sure enough they all got eaten up. When I say I 'crumbled' them, I rather mean I had to bash them to death to get them to break up. Hopefully they will go back to being a little softer soon!
