Does not taste nice
This is less maple syrup and more carob syrup......yuk! Has a chemical after taste. Pay more and get the real thing.
Is this food?
Good thing I tasted this before drizzling all over my delicious fluffy American pancakes. This stuff tastes like cleaner. Like anti freeze or something. Sweet but with a very chemical like after taste. I couldnt believe how bad this was. I had to repeatedly look at the label to make sure it was maple syrup, but it tastes anything but! I knew I shouldve gone for the golden maple syrup one instead but I wanted to save money. Well look what saving money gets yah. Buy cheap you pay twice. If youre looking for the real deal, invest a little bit more because this just tastes awful and the consistency is thin and watery.
Bought for baking.
Bought for baking, has a very light maple syrup flavour and quite strong caramely aftertaste. Good for baking, but will stick to the brands pure maple syrup to go with my pancakes.
How can it say carob fruit in the name and not say carob in the ingriedients list?!
Strange taste, though its only 27% marple syrup
Its only 27% marple syrup which will explain the strange taste and the price. Would rather spend a bit more and get actual marple syrup. Though if you are not bothered, good product for the price
Great for Baking
I use this in flapjack and it's delicious. It gives the syrupy taste without being too sweet. My husband will always prefer treacle but this is much healthier and I prefer it.
