Healthier one than others
This smells like sherry to me and makes a difference to our WPBSOS health choice meals. We like that it has no salt added unlike others and its organic too. A quality item.
essential.
3 essentials for Eastern food. 1.soya sauce( I like dark soy sauce),toasted sesame seed oil and sweet mirin.thd power trio of Japan. much much cheaper mirin everywhere which usually contains sugar syrup and other nonsense which tries to imitate the real thing. like the other 2 you don't need much for each meal rather like salt.so I prefer to get the best, most authentic. and Eastern food is about depth and quality of superior flavours. GET THAT UMAMI and live.start a party on your tongue.
Tasteless
Bought this on the basis of the previous reviews, though unfortunately I couldn't detect any taste from this at all. I even tried a teaspoon of it neat to double check but still there was no taste. Threw the bottle away as using it would be to just add calories for no flavour benefit. Shame, was hoping for something that would make rice more flavourful.
Thanks for the re-stock
Best mirin, and Ocado dont stop stocking this!
Proper mirin
This is the real deal. Delicious depth of flavour, naturally sweet (not sugar syrup like the other cheap brands). Really elevated a stir fry with Udon Noodles.
