lovely in everyway apart from loads of coriander!!! totally spoilt a nice pie!
I have to admit I burnt the top a bit the pastry lid did have promise. It was crisp and crunchy. The pastry bottom was oddly chewy. The filling was bland and as others have said, a bit dry. It was expensive for such a small, feeds one person, pie.
I really enjoyed this, pastry was nice, soft and tasty. Filling was nice but there wasnt enough it so it was more pastry but I really enjoyed the ability to have a healthy tasty pie.
Fancied a different variety of pie and this fitted the bill and a plus on being gluten free, enjoyed the minty chickpea and just a hint of chilli, pastry was good
Missed the mark
This could be a really nice pie if there was more filling, there was more than a hint of chilli, and it had a sauce. Sadly the pastry and filling combine into a dense blob of almost unidentifiable stuff that lacks flavour
Having gone vegan a few months back I was really craving a pie and this really hit the spot. Half way through cooking I flipped it out of the foil tray upside down so the underside could also crisp up as I hate soggy pastry. Anyhow, it was meaty and went well with my onion gravy but there did seem to be more pastry than filling and without my gravy it would possibly be a little dry. And a little salty. The pastry was really nice..
