Clonakilty Blackpudding was first made in our family butcher shop, in Clonakilty, West Cork, Ireland in the 1880s.
Clonakilty Blackpudding is made using traditional methods combining beef, oatmeal, onions, beef blood and a secret blend of spices. It is this special blend of ingredients that gives Clonakilty its unique taste, crumbly texture and distinctive flavour.
While traditionally served as part of a breakfast, Clonakilty Blackpudding can be a special addition to enhance any starter, salad or main course.
Clonakilty Blackpudding is free from artificial colours and preservatives.

Preparation and Usage

To Cook
Remove all packaging. Cut into 2 cm slices and grill or fry on high heat for 4 mins approx.
Flip over & repeat. This is a raw product, ensure it is thoroughly cooked before serving.

Cooking Instructions - General. The following are guidelines only. Cooking appliances may vary. Remove the product from its packaging prior to cooking. Slice approximately 2cm thick.
This is a raw product. Ensure the product is cooked thoroughly prior to serving. Not suitable for microwave cooking.; Grill - From Chilled. Place sliced pudding on a rack in a preheated grill and cook on a high heat for approximately 4 minutes on each side.; Shallow Fry - From Chilled. Heat a small amount of oil on a frying pan and cook on a high heat for approximately 4 minutes on each side and turn occasionally.

Consume within 3 days of opening & use by date. Suitable for freezing. Defrost in a fridge and consume within 24hrs.
Do not refreeze once defrosted.

Clonakilty Black Pudding has its origins in a small farmhouse in rural West Cork, Ireland. From the 1880's this black pudding was made to a secret recipe in a butcher shop at 16 Pearse St., Clonakilty. The precious secret recipe was handed down through the generations and the now famous Clonakilty Black Pudding is still being manufactured by the Twomey family today. Clonakilty White Pudding has been added and together they have become Ireland's favourite products.
