History
Established in 1551, Codorníu is today one of Spain’s leading cava producers and the number one Sparkling wine brand in Spain. In 1872 cava pioneer Josep Raventós from the Codorníu winery was the first to produce Spanish sparkling wine by the ‘Traditional Method’, just like a Champagne. We use grapes from our own vineyards for the vast majority of our cavas. The rest come from local growers with whom we have longstanding relationships. Codorníu is the largest organic Cava producer in the world.
Regional Information
Cava produced from a selection of vineyards where the grape varieties show their greatest potential and expressivity. Chardonnay, the main
grape variety, from Costers del Segre with a continental climate, Xarel.lo from the central plain of Penedès and Parellada from high altitude vineyards in Pla de Manlleu, both areas with a Mediterranean climate.

Incredible
I am a big fan of cava and this brand. This does not disappoint. It is pricey but worth it. Great flavour, light and bubbly. with a great after taste. Perfect to toast any special occasion
