Regional information
The organic grapes used to produce Codorniu Ecologica are picked on different days than the rest of the harvest, in order to avoid contact with the rest of the grape production. All vineyards from which these organic grapes are obtained, hold ECO certification and are located in two areas: The Continental area and the Mediterranean climatic zone of the DO Cava (north-east Spain). Based near Barcelona in Spain, Codorníu have now completed over 460 harvests and have the largest number of privately owned vineyards in Europe. Proudly Catalonian, this vineyard ownership and historical experience delivers wines of top quality, from the sourcing and management of grapes in their own vineyards and pressing centres, to the crisp and refreshing sparkling wine in your glass.

Vinification details
This sparkling wine is made through the traditional method, in the same way as Champagne. The wines are aged for a minimum of 9 months, where a second fermentation takes places inside each bottle, naturally producing the cava´s bubbles. This process gives the wine depth of flavour, elegance and long-lasting, fine bubbles.
