In fact, the Codorníu family has been producing still wines in Spain since the 16th century, long before the first bottle of cava was produced. The Codorníu family began producing still wines on their estate in the Penedès region (north-east Spain), which is known for its fertile soil and Mediterranean climate.

Dark cherry-red colour with purple rim. Very fresh, menthol aromas, hints of cocoa and spicy notes. On the palate, balanced and elegant with sweet and smooth tannins, and aromas of ripe dark fruit (plums) and red fruit.

It does not require decanting. It is perfect for immediate consumption, but will also evolve well in the bottle during the next 5 years. This red wine combines very well with white meats and pork. Perfect for pastas, salads, rice dishes and mature cheeses.
