3 bags of these had been sitting in the pantry for a few weeks, so I decided to roast them for 10-15 minutes on low heat. Its been 3 days and theyre all gone. The entire family loved them. Theres a certain pleasure in the crunch and it brought out the delicious flavour of the nut. Of course they can also be soaked and dehydrated which will be even better - next time.
Others have said this too - the bag is full of bitter almonds. Back to Duchy of Cornwall range for me. Sooo disguising when you get one and the taste stays in your mouth for a LONG time.
Delicious organic almonds
These have a lovely earthy sweet flavour, good texture and are usually fresh with very few bitter almonds. I toast them and use in so many dishes - risotto; couscous; quinoa; stir-fry; baked potato topping; pasta; curries; salads. I just wish Crazy Jack would state country of origin - Waitrose organic almonds are from Spain which is great, as I do not want nuts from China.
Full of rancid almonds! As another reviewer has said, I too feel poisoned! I buy lots of Crazy Jack products, despite them dubiously coming from China but will NEVER purchase these again! :-(
The bag included rancid almonds that have made me feel like I have been poisoned. Avoid!
what The hell
Every time we have ordered these there are no almonds in the bag... but there are cashews!!!! CASHEWS!!!
