Daylesford Organic Gammon Joint

This larger joint of Organic Unsmoked Gammon from Daylesford Organic is new to Ocado for 2024 and makes for a wonderfully traditional Christmas centrepiece. This gammon is dry-cured in the traditional way from organic pigs raised outdoors making for a deliciously sweet and tender meat. Generously sized, the joint can be savoured as part of a traditional roast, with any leftovers enjoyed cold. We recommend adding any flavourings you enjoy to the water you cook the joint in, such as bay leaves and onions, and once cooked, brushing the joint with a glaze of your choice.

For Perfectly Cooked Pork, Our Head Chef Recommends: remove all packaging, place the gammon in a large pan of water and bring to the boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30mins per 500g + 30mins or until the product is thoroughly cooked and juices run clear. For best results, once the product is cooked remove the strings and rind and discard. Transfer gammon to a baking tray, score fat and brush with honey before placing in a hot oven for 10 minutes. Leave to rest for 10 minutes before carving.
Wash hands, knives and surfaces thoroughly before and after preparing raw meat.

Keep refrigerated 0-5°C. Consume within the use by date. Once pack is opened use on the same day. Suitable for freezing on day of purchase. Use within one month. Defrost fully before use. Do not re-freeze once defrosted. Use by: See front of pack.
