Slowly smoked over smouldering oak & beech at the edge of the Irish sea
We work with high-welfare organic salmon farms along the Antrim coast in Northern Ireland and the Shetland Isles.
The strong currents and high tidal flow of these invigorating, clean waters allow the salmon to thrive. Organic farming ensures the fish are free from chemicals, stocked at low densities and fed sustainable, non-GM organic feed.
The fish are salted by hand and traditionally smoked in brick kilns, over gently smouldering oak log fires for upto 72 hours, depending on the weather. This careful, slow process results in rich, melt-in-the-mouth smoked salmon.

Great Smoked Salmon
Have to agree the majority of other reviews here. This salmon is a much superior product to the other ones available on Ocado. Has great texture and flavour. Wish I could buy this every week but just a bit too much for me in 200g pack.
Sweet, succulent, delicious
Best smoked salmon, a real treat
Yielded two salmon sandwiches for lunch for two and salmon avocado fennel salad for supper for two about two days later. Kept well although not very salty at all. Very pleased overall!

I have tried a large part of the smoked salmon on offer from Ocado and think this is one of the very best. Its everything you hope for in smoked salmon
Sometime this comes sliced very differently than other times, and the whole flavour is different. When its sliced in thin strips it tastes really smokey and isnt very nice quality salmon-each bit has a different grain, and some strips are stringy. When its sliced in the shape of the fish fillet then its mild smoke, all the slices look the same in terms of grain, and they have a really melt in the mouth quality. Unfortunately you never know which one you will get!! Inside the packaging is different too. The nicer version has an easy peel corner on the plastic, the not so nice one doesnt.
Fabulous quality & texture every time. Pricey but then the flavour reflects that. I tend to buy when on offer if possible.
