Product Information
Once the grapes are crushed and pressed in winemaking, the remaining fruit, stems and seeds of the harvest are called ‘Pomace.' Discarded Spirits Co. has distilled this grape waste to form the base of its Chardonnay Vodka. The additional flavour compliment again originates from the wine industry. When wine is dealcoholized, there are two end products, the ‘alcohol free wine' and the ‘wine alcohol' separated from the wine. This ‘wine alcohol' is typically sold on or even destroyed. However, it retains a refined flavour profile of the wine varietal that should be celebrated not wasted.
How It's Made:
Pomace vodka base is blended together with our Chardonnay ‘wine alcohol' to produce our Chardonnay Vodka.
Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Clean, green apple, almond croissant, lychee.
Taste: Luscious mouthfeel, Williams pear, guava, starfruit, pink peppercorn finish.
Please drink responsibly: The UK Chief Medical Officers recommend adults do not regularly drink more than 14 units per week
