Recipes
150g Doves Farm Organic White Spelt Flour
25g Icing sugar
1 tsp Baking powder
2 Large eggs
100ml Milk
Butter, for cooking
Stewed or fresh fruit, or syrup (optional)
1. Sieve the flour, icing sugar, and baking powder into a jug and stir to combine.
2. Break the eggs into the jug, add the milk and beat to a smooth, thick batter.
3. Put a small knob of butter into a frying pan over medium heat. As it melts tip the pan so that the melted butter covers its surface.
4. Pour some batter into the pan to make 10cm/4" circles and continue cooking over a medium heat.
5. When bubbles appear on the surface and the base is golden, turn the pancakes over and cook the other side.
6. Transfer the cooked pancakes to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter.
7. Serve warm with fresh fruit, stewed fruit or syrup.

Really good
This is really good cleaner than other flours I've made of delicious things from bread to pastry definitely recommend great value
pretty much depends on batch
This has been my go to flour for using in the breadmaker for a couple of years. ButI just started a newer batch (best before date 3/22) and, ugh, the loaves arent rising. No matter how I tweak the recipe, they come out doughy. Such a waste of ingredients. Ill move on to the 6/22 bags that recently arrived and hope for the best, otherwise Ill try the S&P flour. Thanks to a hairy bikers episode I now add an egg to my spelt loaves. Instead of water I use a non dairy milk (usually rice or oat) and an egg. Use a small milk frother whisk to mix it. Slightly reduce the amount of fat (I use odourless coconut oil.) The loaf is much less crumbly, softer, and lasts longer. It looks a little more like an enriched dough, but the taste and consistency is much closer to regular wheat bread. just hope the next batch behaves.
love this flour
10/10 flour. Ive made all kinds with it and its amazing every time. Great price great quality. A lot more healthier than the regulars too
very good flour
Cakes, pastry, even Dutch Oven bread comes out brilliant
lovely flour
Great flour, everything from pancakes to cakes comes out well. Children tolerate it much better than traditional wheat.
Doves Farm are best for organic flour
After being given a bread machine on going into lockdown last year (shielder list couldn’t go out) I tried several types of flour in it. Was recommended spelt so tried Doves Farm. This white spelt really makes a great loaf, rises well in the machine and yes makes lovely toast!
