not orange
Tried to make orange buttercream for Halloween but, after using the whole tube, I only managed a sort of peach colour. Really disappointing!
not bright
Despite adding a lot of colour to a small piece of fondant I could only get a light orange colour from this. Disappointing
not bright enough
I used this to make Halloween themed cupcakes to colour the buttercream icing. I was hoping for a bright pumpkin orange but even after using the whole tube it was no where near bright enough. Certainly not neon. It also added an odd flavour to the icing.
Halloween shocker
Was tempted by the £1 saving, but really wished Id stuck with ProGel. Icing would only go a mild orange regardless of the amount of gel added and the gel gave the icing a horrible taste. The only good side was the taste was so off putting it made them less tempting for me to eat, so a few calories saved! ProGel much better and you literally need a drop of it to get a lovely tasteless colour.
could not get a bright orange
I dont know what I was doing wrong as previous reviewers have said what a vibrant colour they got but even using the whole tube I could not get the buttercream for my daughters Fox cake to go any more orange than a weak salmon colour
Really good
A nice bright orange, only need a bit to get a vibrant colour. I find food colour gels are much better than the traditional food colourings.
