Another Christmas Baking Hack
Quick and easy to use. Screw on chosen nozzle, give the tube a quick massage to warm the contents and go crazy with the decorating. A tube decorated 24 gingerbread biscuits, so went further than I expected.
I was worried purchasing this as it had mixed reviews, but it came with the nozzles and after a bit of kneading it was ready to use. I've never piped icing before, this was so easy. I could write a birthday message with the thin nozzle and could pipe flowers around the edge of my cake. I've just ordered another one so that I can make my son's birthday cake extra special.
Great convenience buy for baking
With a bit of kneading before use, as suggested on the packet, this gave a good, precise result that looked great in gingerbread cookies and tasted good too. I do think it could be just a tad moister, though, as occasionally I had trouble getting the piped line to fully adhere to the cookie without a bit of coaxing.
The trick to this icing is to knead the bag before you use it. Then it won't be dry and it won't break up. Ours came with the 4 nozzles, which makes all the difference and the icing decorated our ginger bread biscuits really beautifully and tasted lovely too.
impossible to get out of the tube
had to throw it away
I brought this to decorate gingerbread men but the icing was too rubbery and wouldn't stick to the gingerbread. It also broke up, making messy, discontinuous lines. I'm going back to mixing my own icing and using an old fashioned nozzle.
