So close to being good!
This one has a lot of potential but, to be honest, my initial impression was that it smells like an ashtray. There's something very wrong on-the-nose that lets down this otherwise very promising low-alcohol stout. I'll be keeping an eye on this one for recipe improvements.
One of the very best
This is a really superb beer. A lot of alcohol-free beers have a stale biscuity taste but this tastes like the real thing. You'd be hard pushed to realise it's alcohol free. Lovely taste of chocolate and coffee with a slight smokiness to it. Since my doctor warned me off the real thing, I've tried nearly 300 AF beers and this is certainly in my top 5.
Too smoky
I suppose the clue is in the name, but this is the smokiest tasting beer I've ever had, to the point that I find it unpleasant to drink. The stout has a nice colour. Stouts are my favourite type of beer, so it's a shame I didn't like this, for the occasional break from alcohol. An interesting attempt at a beer, something different, and definitely a beer, which is not always the case for low alcohol beers, so two stars, instead of one.
Best Alcohol Free Stout
I love a stout and there arent that many alcohol free ones about. Thought I would give this a try and I was not disappointed. You can tell that quality ingredients have been used to brew this beer. I love the smokiness in the malt along with hints of dark chocolate. Without a doubt the best alcohol free stout Ive tasted. Great stuff!
Perfect
A hint of smokiness, full of flavour, really smooth. Love this, have bought a few times now and just added to my shop again. Great company ethos too. Highly recommend!
