Product information

Cinnamon was one of the first spices sought in the explorations of the 15th and 16th Century. The agreeably sweet, woody aroma is quite delicate, yet intense. The taste is well defined fragrant and warm. Suited to both sweet and savoury dishes. Today, cinnamon forms an essential part of most Indian cuisine. Cinnamon is also widely used in chocolates, chocolate desserts, cakes and drinks. Other uses being in making pomanders and pot pourris'. This sweet spice has been selected for quality by East End's Buyers.

dont buy

I stored them in a jar and when I opened it couldnt stand chemical strong smell in the jar. This cant be natural aroma , it is by all means worst chemical smell I ever smelled. I am sure this will have a negative impact on health. Do not buy its like poison

Good for savoury dishes but skip for sweet

Cassia is used in lots of recipes from India, China and South East Asia. Good in curries especially. Dont substitute for sweet cinnamon - its not the same!

no smell or flavour at all

No smell or flavour at all. I was only using this as a nice festive smell or to use as a stir stick for mulled wine. Total waste.

Awful

Ive never felt compelled to write a review before but these are terrible. I know they are not meant to be exactly the same as cinnamon but I have also used cassia before and these are a poor example. Enormous chunks that look like tree branches straight from the park, with no scent or taste whatsoever.
