A staple dish of North Africa, and named after the vessels it is traditionally cooked in, our tagine is a hotpot of slow-cooked chickpeas, aubergines, butternut squash, courgettes and apricots in aromatic spices
- very Moorish!
We just love their nutty flavour and texture; a great favourite in Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and Indian cuisine. They can range in colour from white, yellow, golden, brown, dark green or black! In India, the chickpea is referred to as gram, some varieties are milled into a fine pale yellow flour, used to make Onion Bhajias. Chickpeas are also the vital ingredient to falafel and hummus.

I really love all the easy bean pots. They aren't the biggest pots but just right for a work lunch. I only buy when they are on offer as I think the full price 3.99 is a bit expensive.
tasty but very small
tasty, but nothing outstanding, for this price it is tiny, I am normally full after one-pot meals and this one - all this brand- leaves me just hungry. Even in an offer - 3 pounds for such a small, average meal is way too much.
Not for me - sweet, untextured & mushy
This was, for me, over sweet and the vegetables were mushy. Even the chick peas which should have been slightly firm were soft and texture less.
This is not something I would normally eat, but the good reviews convinced me to give it a try. Glad I did as it is lovely (and that from someone who is not keen on aubergines!). A very pleasant change from the norm.
Really impressed with this little pot. I had it for dinner with some couscous and it was perfect. Really tasty, really nutritious with lovely ingredients and all packaging recyclable. Also super quick to heat. Lost a star as it's slightly pricey for it's size.
My oh my!
Utterly butterly delicious. In fact, having opened the pot for a quick taste, I couldn't resist and devoured it all stone-cold!
