Plant Based Recipe Ideas
How to Use:
Heat until just hot and serve with toast or baked potato.
Smoky Garlic Baked Beans: Cook 1 diced onion, 2 cloves garlic in 1 tsp oil. Add 1 tbsp tomato purée, 1/2 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/4 tsp thyme, and stir. Add 1 can baked beans.
Simmer for 5 mins until thick.
Season with pepper.
Tomato & Bean Curry: Cook 1 diced onion, 2 cloves chopped garlic, 1/2 tsp ground ginger, 1 tsp dried coriander, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp mustard seeds in a tbsp oil until soft.
Add 225g cherry tomatoes and stir. Add 1 can baked beans.
Simmer for 10 mins.
Chunky Tomato & Bean Soup: Chop and cook 1 onion, 1 carrot, 2 celery sticks in a tbsp oil for 10 mins. Add 1 can baked beans, 300ml vegetable stock and 1 can chopped tomatoes. Add pinch of paprika and mixed herbs.
Simmer for 10 mins.
