Aguaribay is the typical tree and thus the emblem of the Mendoza region. In this same region, 120km South of Mendoza and at an altitude of 1100m, at the foot of the Andes, the Rothschild family has acquired 100Ha of vineyards. Most of the vineyards are planted with the Malbec varietal. The remarkable softness of the tannins and the expressive fruit aromas will seduce you to enjoy it with all kinds of meat and cheese.

History

The Aguaribay is a typical and emblematic tree of the Mendoza region, perfectly adapted to the conditions and altitude of the Andes. It is frequently found at the foothills of this majestic mountain range. Related to the Pepper tree family, this evergreen tree is highly recognizable for the stylish thin leaves, jagged, and drooping elegantly.

Vinification details

Sustainable precision viticulture. Vines are managed in Guyot with drip irrigation. Grapes are handpicked during March and a further hand selection of berries is made in the cellars before and after destemming. Tanks are gravity filled with pumping over in stainless steel. Aged for 12 months in French oak.
