Regional information

This wine is a selection of the best clay/limestone slopes from Château Clarke, a fantastic ¿terroir¿ for a great Merlot wine. The vineyards are carefully managed in order to get the lowest yield, achieving the best concentration and maturity in the grapes.

Tasting notes

Château Clarke has a beautiful crimson colour with a deep purple rim and a complex aroma that is both ripe and spicy, with hints of mint and toast. Upon further aeration, additional notes of Morello cherries, thyme, and vanilla emerge, resulting in a rich and intense flavour profile. On the palate, the attack is ample, smooth and very fresh. The fine notes of a perfectly melted woody note envelops a structure carried by ripe and serious tannins. The whole is long and tasty. This wine has an excellent ageing potential (up to 15 years).
