Named Flechas de los Andes in homage to the five arrows(flechas) that symbolise the Rothschild family, the winery was created through the partnership of Baron Benjamin de Rothschild and Laurent Dassault in their quest for a great terroir at the foot of the Andes. The vineyard, which has been cultivated since 1999, enjoys a dry climate tempered by the high altitudes of the Andes (1100m): on this unique terroir, the Malbec grape variety reigns supreme.

In the centre of the Uco Valley, loam soil from alluvial origin, increasing the proportion of stones in the subsoil.

Deep ruby in colour, this wine displays aromas of ripe raspberry, violet and dark liquorice, complemented by notes of cocoa and subtle oak. Full-bodied and generous on the palate, it combines smooth black fruit flavours with hints of dark chocolate and sweet spice. Soft tannins and a floral lift bring balance and elegance to a long, velvety finish. We recommend to drink with grilled steaks, roast lamb or mature hard cheeses.

Manual grape selection before and after destemming. Stainless steel tanks fed by gravity. Cold Maceration pre-fermentation for 7 days at 10° Celsius. Malolatic Fermentation allowed. Aged in new oak French barrels for 18 months.
