Product Information
Acquired by Baron Edmond de Rothschild in 1973, the estate is located on clay-limestone soils, particularly suited to growing Merlot (majority of the blend). The wine is then aged for 12 months in vats and French oak barrels. It reveals a beautiful structure and roundness, and is inspired from the majestic pine trees and well-tended gardens surrounding the estate.

History
If the Rothschild name is now synonymous with wine-making excellence,
that is because wine has always been a family passion. This passion
dates back to 8 August 1868 to be precise, the date on which James
de Rothschild acquired the famous Château Lafite.
Later, Edmond de Rothschild — who dreamed of owning an intimate and discreet vineyard that he could shape according to his vision — went on to acquire Château Clarke, along with more than 100 hectares of vines in the Médoc region.

Regional information
Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gironde estuary, the Médoc is a land of contrasts — where deep gravel meets pockets of clay and limestone, shaping wines of remarkable depth and character. Known for its structured, age-worthy reds led by Cabernet Sauvignon, the region also reveals a more unexpected side: the presence of Merlot, thriving in cooler, heavier soils and bringing softness and roundness to the blend.
In the Médoc, power and elegance go hand in hand. This is a place where nature sets the tone, and where each vintage reflects the delicate balance between bold terroir and time-honored craftsmanship.
Tasting notes
A striking deep garnet hue. The nose opens with vibrant aromas of ripe, fresh fruit, followed by delicate hints of fine oak and a touch of vanilla after aeration. On the palate, the wine is refined and graceful — silky tannins balanced by bright acidity. The finish is long, flavorful, and fruit-driven, leaving a lasting impression of elegance and finesse.
