Fabulous low fat alternative.
Always trying to cut down fat content, this was an ideal option to buy. I really enjoyed mine with strawberries and the cream has a really lovely flavour and I honestly did not feel like I 'missed out' on a full fat version. A winner for me and I will (and have) buy this again!
made a lovely sauce
Made a great sauce for chicken with asparagus and leeks. Was lovely. Great its lower fat
As a cream substitute this product is not too bad, long life, and half the fat and calories of the real thing, when used in cooking its difficult to tell the difference. As a dessert topping you can tell its not real cream but the taste and consistency are not unpleasant and its healthier!
Decent alternative to real cream
Im actually positively surprised by this alternative to real cream. Good when whipped, it works very well on everyday dishes in quiches, soupes etc... I would nonetheless stick to real cream when Ive got guests.
I use this to make 'ice cream' but I left it whipping in my food processor while I got distracted and it separated irreparably. So, not more than 90secs next time.
This is a great alternative for someone who can't tolerate real cream. It's great for cooking and whipping.
