I was a farm milk maid who had a dream of owning a business. With no money or business plan I began with a mixing bowl and wooden spoon in a tiny cottage using recipes from my childhood days on the farm. Years later we're in a bakery with no conveyor belts or robots but lots of people making good old fashioned cakes. horrible waste of money
not sure why these reviews are so good, but most of them are several years old. mine were dry with 2 weeks to go on the use by date, and shattered when attempting to cut (very carefully) in half. far, far too sweet, and far too much sweet spice.

No where near as good or similar tasting as mine or my mums really disappointing couldn't eat them
lovely buns
I adore these. They have a strong taste of mixed spice (which I love) and remind me of Christmas buns. Consistency is very similar to other rock buns I have tried. These will be a regular in my Ocado order from now on.
Five Star Rating Gone
These use to be crumbly, spicy and well cooked. Lovely with a cup of tea. Withdrawn my original review from a couple of years back as the last time I bought these they were too sweet, cloying, not crumbly and very heavy. They also tasted like they had not been cooked for long enough. Emma's Country Cakes, please take note!!!!
Spicy, buttery, crumbly.
These taste how rock buns should taste: buttery with spicy tones running through. Just the right amount of currants and sugar topping. The crumbly texture is just right too. Better than our local tea shop!
