Fine
Good capers but not the best I've had
Meatier than others and too salty...
They aren't the smallest and more meaty and not totally firm. I use Ottolenghi recipe for crispy capers which means they take longer to become crispy and take colour. Also, they turned out to be extremely salty in the end. Definitely rinse before using which isn't actually what should be done... Hence only 2 stars.
Salty rather than vinegary
Nice capers, elegant packaging. Incidentally, I have no problem fitting our teaspoons in the narrow jar.
Narrow
I agree with the previous reviewer, though I note that there are three people who don't. I find it very annoying trying to get the capers out with a fork. Luckily I have a narrow fork, but a wider jar would be so much better.
Jar neck is too small to get a teaspoon inside!
I know this will probably sound churlish, but this jar is tiny, which in itself doesn't bother me, but it's impossible to get a spoon inside to get the capers out! So you have to either stick a knife in and hope they balance there for long enough to get them where you want them, or else you end up getting the brine coming out with the capers. The capers were absolutely fine but I'll be getting another brand next time so I can get them out easily - life's too short, haha
Good quality salty and delicious!
Good quality, salty and delicious. I have used these to cook with, and in salads and they are really good. Small jar, but then the last few arent always lurking in the back of the fridge.
