Don Maximiano Errázuriz founded Viña Errázuriz in 1870 in the Aconcagua Valley. This family owned winery continues to create exciting wines searching for the perfect combination of soil, climate and variety.

From the cool-climate in the Aconcagua Region near the Pacific shores, where cool breezes and abundant sunshine help create fresh, crisp wines. Cold-fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the bright varietal character. Tropical fruit, green apple, and herby tomato leaf on the nose and palate accentuate the crisp acidity on this fresh, dry white wine. Serve with shellfish, seafood, fresh salads, and spicy dishes.

History

Don Maximiano Errázuriz founded Viña Errázuriz in 1870 when he planted the first French grape varieties in Chile's Aconcagua Valley. His initiative, creativity and belief that the best wines come from the best land has been passed down through subsequent generations and today Viña Errázuriz remains family owned by the Chadwick family. Working hand in hand with nature, the family and winemaking teams are constantly striving to produce great Chilean wines, produced in a sustainable, responsible way.

Regional information

The grapes for the Estate Reserva Sauvignon Blanc come from selected vineyards that grow close to the Pacific Ocean's coast in Chile's Aconcagua Region between the Andes and the Pacific Ocean. These vineyards are located on rolling hills at an altitude of 100 to 300 metres above sea level and produce perfect Sauvignon Blanc grapes to make this zingy white wine.

Tasting notes

This Chilean Sauvignon Blanc has aromas of lime and tangerine and ripe flavours of tropical fruits. A fresh and zingy white wine, it is a brilliant example of the style of Sauvignon that Chile can produce. Enjoy on its own or with a wide range of dishes.

Vinification details

Grapes for this Sauvignon Blanc were picked by hand and take to the winery, where they were carefully destemmed, crushed and pressed. Fermentation takes between 15 to 20 days, and the resulting wine was then separated into different lots that stayed in touch with their lees for three months. This helps intensify the distinctive fruit character and gives the final wine a lovely mouth-filling creamy texture.
