We eat a lot of spinach - great fried with small amount of olive oil and crushed garlic. This is good quality although not washed.
these have a hit and miss experience
Having purchased these a few times, I find if the bag comes with condensation inside then the shelf life will be low. I have wondered if the condensation is due to lack of refrigeration on the vans but cant say for sure. But this time they were perfect! Still in good condition a week later! Other weeks they would have been good for the bin by now! Not sure whats changed but keep it up!
Good value for money
Good value for money. Tastes pretty good, leaves are big. Can sometimes be a little soggy inside and the sell by date is the day after purchasing it. Would repurchase as it's great for salads and juices.
wet and smelly
This was on offer at £1 but the spinach had been put into the bag still wet so the leaves were smelly, all cracked and smelly and slimy at the bottom. Only fit for the bin. I have bought this before and it has been great but was dry. I had to stop buying the ocado spinach as it was also arriving wet and on the turn like this waitrose one. Back to Steve's leaves I suppose.
I use this spinach in my morning juice! Tasty and lasts a long time in the fridge!
on the downside, most of the leaves were crushed damp. on the upside, got a free pet. a lovely great big Kentish moth about half the size of my thumb. I am happy to report she survived her ordeal up to the frigid North and is drying out on my window sill. I have named her mothra!
