Artichoke Hearts with Quail Egg
Ingredients for 6 people
For the artichokes
6 artichokes / 1/2 litre sunflower oil
For the artichokes
Remove the artichoke leaves with a paring knife until you are left with the hearts and empty their cores with a teaspoon.
Fry the artichoke hearts in plenty of oil.
Strain well on paper towel.
Others
6 quail eggs / 30g trout roe
Finish and presentation
Break the quail eggs carefully and place them in the centre of the fried artichokes.
Place under the grill until the eggs are cooked.
Place the roe on top of the yolk.

140 years ago, the young August K. Damm and his girlfriend Melanie decided to emigrate from Alsace fleeing the Franco-Prussian war. Their journey brought them to the Mediterranean coast where they settled with the hope of brewing beer. Their dream came true in 1876 when they established their own brewery and created a beer adapted to the hot Mediterranean climate.

I love the flavour of this beer, and the taste it leaves afterwards. It is definitely my favourite for when I am at home chilling out and watching something on the TV

Salud!
Had Estrella Damm beer whilst staying in Puerto Pollensa and what a great tasting beer it is too! Far nicer than San Miguel which I usually drink whilst in Spain. Great that it is now available in the UK!
