don't make icecream with it
this wrecks the texture. back to the brand
works fine
I made ice cream with it and it was great. The tin is flimsy-I expect its why the other reviewers are saying its so dreadful and impossible to open. Firstly Its flimsy because less metal is used than carnation- surely its better for the environment? Also I am happy to overlook the quality of the tin because it is not Nestle! Id rather buy a product from a company that hasnt compromised its ethical values.
Not for my baking
I wanted to make a sticky layer in tray bake slices! It was no sticky after all effort I made to my usual recipe! Tasted strange and it’s not creamy at all! Tin was ok to open with a can opener
Strange Tin
These tins are ridiculously difficult to open. Never again.
Texture felt wrong
I usually buy the most famous brand, and to be fair is only used in cooking, but I do dip a finger in first. I found this to be a slightly different texture to the leading big name, a little less smooth and creamy. I used this tin in a toffee - and it came out ok - but I'm going back to the big brand next time.
Tin shape
The tin is slightly different in shape so my rotary tin opener wouldn't get a grip at all. After much anguish I finally got the tip open with an old fashioned opener. Seemed pretty ok condensed milk, which I made into icecream with double cream.
