Brand
Filotea – this is fresh, artisan pasta at its very best, produced by a small company located in the Marche region of Italy. An ancient recipe handed down by the current owners’ grandmother and made using the same meticulous processing methods, is what gives Filotea pasta the homemade taste and aesthetic it has become renowned for. With authentic flavour and tradition at the very core of the brand’s philosophy, the combination of the best soft wheat flour, the finest eggs delivered every morning by the same supplier, the bronze-drawn dough and the slow drying process, results in pasta with tradition, heritage and high quality simplicity in every piece. Add to that the entirely hand packaged element and Filotea’s artisan credentials soar. More recently, Filotea has adapted its processes to create dried pasta with the same values.

excellent
lovely genuine orecchiette, cooks through without losing its lovely texture
Absolutely delicious
Yes it's dearer than the standard Orecchiette and takes longer to cook, but goodness me it is worth the money and time. Lovely flavour, texture...delish!
Duro!
One of my favourite words! Forget al-dente. In the south they like their pasta served Duro! Especially in seafood dishes. Spaghetti that is bendy not floppy. Anyway, it’s a love-hate thing with us Brits I guess. This is the Orecchiette I remember from Puglia, strong durum wheat ears with the ridges and unsurpassable flavour. Apart from the pugliese dishes I make with this pasta it’s also much appreciated when used instead of spaghetti for a spag bol. Not authentic but authentically delicious.
Took forever to cook
Im not a fan of overcooked pasta but this just took ages to cook and was quite gloopy. Prob one for the Al dente fans.
Great stuff
It's quite hard to get orecchiette that's not claggy and this cooks well, retains it's shape and is good. It's expensive but worth it if you like this type of pasta.
Kids loved it
Got this to review and we really enjoyed - nice change to normal pasta and held itself well
