Tasting Notes
With a deep picota cherry colour, this wine has abundant red and black fruit aromas as well as enticing spicy notes such as black pepper and vanilla.
History
The founder of Gonzalez Byass firmly believed in the principle of consistency in winemaking and his personal life. Named in homage to him, Finca Constancia was established in 2006, on a single estate property, chosen for its unique combination of soils and climatic conditions, ideally suited to growing the best quality fruit of both indigenous and international grape varieties.
Regional Information
Situated in the province of Toledo in Castilla la Mancha, not far from Madrid, Finca Constancia is protected by the two mountain ranges of Sierra de Gredos and Montes de Toledo. The undulating landscape offers a variety of soil types, perfect for growing different grape varieties which flourish in its long hot summers and cold winters.

Vinification Details
The grapes are hand harvested, and only the best bunches are picked. After being de-stemmed, the grapes are fed by gravity to the fermenters. After fermentation the wine is transferred to new French and American oak barrels where it integrates for 13 months, before bottling.

Nice bottle
My sister an I thought this wine had good flavour and it was an offer too for £11ish

Disappointing
I was expecting something better at this price point. I've only bought it once so it's possible I got a bad bottle.

fruity and beautifully complet
I bought this as I do enjoy pinotage grape. This is really value for money, a little fruity with a lot of complexity which would give a seasoned Red wine connoisseur (new world) a run for their money. Best part is that it does not require decanting.

One good, one bad
Love the first bottle so - though expensive - treated myself to a second one - mistake. Very average

quaffable
Im no expert but i seem to choose wine based on how much i like it. I like this very much and can even put up with a mediocre headache as the pain that offsets the pleasure of this tipple.
