Great in pasta
I ordered these because they have no nitrates and got a lovely surprise. Not your normal chunks of fatty bacon but more of a refined shredded bacon product that is now a fridge staple for use in pasta, omelettes, topping for soups etc. We dont eat much meat so these are a delicious addition for when bacon is wanted. Just be prepared that they arent what UK lardons usually are.
These are not lardons
This was like a pack of bacon shavings - tiny little off cuts not the big uniform chunks of bacon you expect with lardons. More like a packet of rashers which have been chopped up. Very disappointing and nothing like the picture
Fatty and not tasty
I really like the naked bacon but these were a disappointment. Cut so chunky and a lot of it fat. Not the nice salty taste of their rashers…
Very little meat.
Unfortunately there was mostly fat, very little meat. What was thee was tasty. We had to use both packs, remove most of the fat then used what was left.
