Fish Said Fred MSC Big Cod Fillets

Hi - I'm Fred and I'm on a mission to deliver everyday fish that'll make your week, which is very much the plan with these nice, big cod fillets. They're pretty chunky these ones, and that makes them stay nice and juicy. They make cracking goujons but are equally good roasted in the oven with some baby tomatoes on the vine.

Our cod is wild caught in the deep waters off the coast of Iceland and the Norwegian and Barents Sea. The team here work very closely with the MSC to make sure every pack of fish with my name on comes from a well-managed, sustainable fishery. That's vital. And the fact that it's so healthy is just a bonus. The NHS recommends eating two portions of fish a week, but why stop there? I could eat it every day! And pretty much do.

Always cook fully before serving.

Oven cook - From Chilled. Super easy to cook...
Remove all packaging before cooking.
1. Preheat oven to 200°C, Gas 6, Fan 180°C
2. Loosely wrap in an oiled, foil parcel. Place on a baking tray in the centre of the oven.
3. Cook for 25-27 minutes then serve.
Careful when opening as parcel will be hot. The natural size of fish and cooking appliances may vary - this is a guide only.
Ensure piping hot before serving. Do not reheat.

Storage:
Keep refrigerated, below 5°C. Once opened, cook and eat within one day. Cook or freeze before the use by date. This fish has been previously frozen and safely defrosted. Still suitable for home freezing, defrost fully before cooking. Do not refreeze once defrosted. Use within one month.

Safety Warning:
Bones can occasionally 'slip through the net,' so be sure to double check.
