Recipes
Pizza Margherita
Oven 220°C, Fan 200°C, 425°F, Gas 7
Preheat oven
Bake for 15 minutes plus 10-15 minutes
Pizza base
350g Freee Pizza Mix
300g tepid water
4 tbsp oil
baking tray
Topping
400g tin chopped tomatoes
200g sliced mozzarella
dried basil salt and pepper
1. Put the pizza mix into a mixing bowl, add the water and oil and mix vigorously to make a soft ball of dough and rest for 10 minutes.
2. Cut the dough in half and press each piece into a 25cm/10 inch circle on oiled baking trays OR, cut the dough into four and press the pieces into 20cm/8 inch circles on the oiled trays.
3. Cover the pizza base and leave to rise for 60-90 minutes, in a warm place.
4. Divide the chopped tomatoes between the pizza bases and sprinkle a pinch of dried basil over each.
5. Bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes.
6. Carefully remove the pizza from the oven, add sliced mozzarella, season with salt and pepper and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
