HOW TO ENJOY
For the more adventurous, top GAIL’s San Francisco Sourdough with ricotta, sliced peaches and a drizzle of honey. Or, for more traditional palates, spread with a crunchy nut butter and sprinkle of salt.
STORAGE
Baked fresh and never with any preservatives, we recommend storing GAIL’s sourdough in a cool, dry place. To keep the bread for longer, slice immediately and store in an airtight container in the freezer, taking out slices and toasting, as desired.
Towards the end of its life, we recommend transforming the loaf into croutons, bruschetta or even French toast.

We bake our loaves daily by hand with natural ingredients, and though we’re always innovating, our baking is based on time-honoured techniques and our decades-old starters.
Nothing gives us as much pleasure as a freshly baked, lovingly crafted loaf.
Our first GAIL’s bakery opened in London’s Hampstead High Street in 2005. And now we’re bringing our neighbourhood bakery even closer to you, making good bread more widely available to our community.
Though we’ve grown over the years, our philosophy has remained the same: to make good food that people love, and create bakeries that people want to keep coming back to.

Bring back Potato & Rosemary
This is a great loaf but I agree with the other reviewer that the P&R was king of breads. Bring it back!
you gotta have teeth!
I grew up on sourdough and thick rye breads so I'm not afraid of crust - there is no hell worse to me, than cotton wool square bread, just keep it away from me. While not completely up to my standards, Gail's sourdough is decent, with enjoyable crust. It's really good at mopping up sauces and stews.
dry, stale and rock hard when delivered
Why? Gails bread is usually delicious. Want deliver old bread to your online customers? -s for that price too!? Id expect premium. Do better! Wont bother but again from Ocado
cannot believe you have stopped selling Gails Pot
This is lovely bread BUT The Potato & Rosemary bread is by far the best Gails bread and youve stopped selling it! Please like this comment if you agree and they may bro v it back!
Rock solid
I personally don't like when my teeth are chewing on squeaky hard bread. This one isn't for me. I made a criss cross cut hedgehog style garlic bread with this and it was a workout just trying to cut it. Didn't taste amazing either.
so so
This bread has made me realise how good I am at baking bread as I always thought I was terrible but if this is the quality thats been sold in supermarkets then I must be good right!? Having said that I find this brand of bread dense and a little moist but delicious when toasted.
