Garofalo has been making pasta for over 300 years in Gragnano near Naples in Italy, the home of pasta. Made from 100% robust desert durum wheat and shaped using a bronze die gives Garofalo pasta its premium taste and texture.
Orecchiette are typical of Puglia, a region of southern Italy. Their name comes from the shape, which looks like a small ear and in Italian orecchio means ear, and the suffix 'etto' means 'small'.
Orecchiette are about 1.75 cm across and slightly domed with thinner centres compared to the edge giving them a variable texture and a place to catch the sauce.

I've tried orecchiette pasta several times, and each time I'm disappointed. Of all the different pasta shapes, this is the most boring one - and the "coins" tend to stick together, creating a rather unpleasant doughy experience.
A bit different
Quite thick but tasty and a really good shape for holding extra sauce! Very filling.
delicious and, honestly, really easy to cook.
Love these- they are a perfect size when mixing with pesto some veg and pulses. I don't really understand the issues some people have had with cooking. It's super straight forward cook like normal pasta, albeit stir a bit more and add a drop of oil. Delicious!
The best brand of pasta. This is such a lovely shape. One of my favourites.
I have been buying this brand for years and have been consistently happy. Its the one shape my children request if I havent cooked it recently enough. For the record, I have never experienced issues with consistency, and the orecchiette really only adhere to one another if Ive neglected them in the preparation process. Bravo, Garofalo!
like being in Italy
