Product information

Probably the most popular and simple pasta shape in the world! Spaghetti originates in Naples, where Garofalo pasta is made. Spaghetti is the plural form of the Italian word spaghetto, meaning "thin string" or "twine. Traditionally, most spaghetti was 50 cm (20 in) long, but shorter lengths gained in popularity during the latter half of the 20th century.

Premium Italian pasta maker Garofalo has been making high quality pasta since 1789 in Gragnano near Naples, the birth place of pasta in Italy.

Garofalo has always been a reference point for the high quality of its product and production processes, made now even more effective thanks to the combination of technology and century long artisan know how.

Pasta is simply made with water and durum wheat semolina and you can't produce excellent pasta if the best wheat is not used. It is the quality and quantity of gluten present primarily that determines the quality of the wheat. Garofalo uses only high quality robust durum wheat in its signature pasta ranges.

Garofalo pasta is formed through a bronze die this method allows a little friction on the surface of the pasta, which becomes slightly rough and porous allowing the sauce to cling and be absorbed into the pasta giving a delightful eating experience!

Great

I've tried most of the supermarket wholewheat spaghetti and this is the best one so far. Great texture.

Love this whole wheat spaghetti!

This is my favourite spaghetti by a mile. I simmer it for about 15 - 20 mins until it is cooked but still has a 'bite' to it - al dente. Depending on how high your hob is you may want to cook it for less time or more so I'd suggest you taste it along the way so that you get the right taste for you. It has a really lovely nutty taste to it but still tastes very much like you would expect from whole wheat spaghetti. Delicious.

Kids havent noticed the switch

Switched to all wholewheat pasta. This is really tasty and have had no complaints from the kids or any of their friends that have been for tea.

our favourite spaghetti

I've found that my young daughter and her friends love this spaghetti, and don't seem to realise it's any different from the usual white pasta they are used to. I prefer them to eat this to white pasta as it's nutritionally better for them.
