Found this a nuisance to cook (it takes forever because it is so thick) and then when eating its so large and lacking in texture that sauce will not stick to it, so you just end up eating plain mouthfuls of thick stodgy flavourless pasta. Wouldn't buy again.
Paccheri cannelloni dish
Bought the Garofalo Paccheri pasta after seeing a really interesting looking recipe on tv for a pasta bake made with paccheri pasta which is placed upended then bolognaise sauce poured over so the tubes are filled and topped with bechamel sauce and cheese. The pasta worked wonderfully with this recipe. Ive bought other Garofalo pastas and they are all superior. Will most certainly buy again.
favourite pasta brand
Delicious large pasta needs to be cooked in lots of boiling salted water and stirred very regularly to stop in sticking. Long cooking time but well worth the wait !!
Great Pasta
This is like a rigatoni but with a smooth outside. Really nice. Would buy again.
waste of money
Falling apart when cooking
Probably me :/
The pasta itself is quite thick and takes a bit of extra cooking to get even to al dente. Due to the thickness, it holds its shape well and could easily be "filled" like a shorter version of cannelloni. Tastes like pasta! Looks like pasta! I've cooked pasta before so not sure why this time with this pasta, the whole family had bloated bellies! Could only be the pasta because 2 of us had carbonara and the other 2 had Bolognese so it wasn't the sauce. Some of us didn't have the extras (garlic bread, cheese). The only element we all had was the pasta.
