Geno Branco

Geno is produced by the acclaimed Fundacao Eugenio de Almeida in Alentejo, one of the most dynamic wine regions in Portugal. It is known for great value, easy-drinking wines.


The wine portrays the local farmer, wearing a typical hat and red scarf. It is made from local Portuguese grape varieties Antao Vaz, Arinto and Roupeiro. A fresh, aromatic and well-balanced white wine with good acidity.

Located in the Évora sub region of the Alentejo , known for its hot dry
conditions and a varied mix of non calcareous Mediterranean soils. The wines are typically robust and multi layered, complex and rewarding, with good acidic balance. Cartuxa is part of the FEA where 25% of all profits go back into the local community.

Produced from Antao Vaz, Roupeiro and Arimo. The fermentation takes places at 16°C in stainless steel vats. After fermentation the wine is filtered, blended, stabilized and bottled.
