Giffard Menthe Pastille Liqueur

White mint liqueur, transparent, obtained from essential oils of peppermint.
Created in 1885 by Emile Giffard, a pharmacist in Angers, who turned his pharmacy into a distillery. Emile worked with the Mitcham variety of mint, a plant he found in the south of England and well known of its refreshing flavour & digestive qualities.


•Nose :very nice peppermint aromas. The whole is very pleasant thanks to the fresh and spicy breath that emanates from it.
•Tasting notes : fresh and balanced mouth. The flavor of peppermint invades the palate leaving an extreme sensation of freshness


Menthe-Pastille is best enjoyed over ice, or as a long drink with still or sparkling water, or in cocktails.

In order to keep all the organoleptic, physicochemical and sanitary qualities, they shall not undergo too high temperature changes. Important rises in temperature accelerate the ageing and can lead to significant damages. (loss of colour, mould, …)
Store in a cool dry place, away from light.
Optimal shelf life : unlimited

Menthe-Pastille is best enjoyed over ice, or as a long drink with still or sparkling water, or in cocktails. Try the Stinger cocktail!
>Ingredients:
20 ml Menthe-Pastille
50 ml Cognac


>Preparation:
1. Add the ingredients to a shaker
2. Ice up 2/3 of the shaker with cubed ice
3. Shake vigorously for 7 to 10 seconds
4. Strain into a chilled glass (coupe) with no ice
5. Garnish with a mint leaf & serve
