Matcha is a fine green tea powder made from ground whole leaves, known for its umami flavour, vibrant colour, and unique energy-boosting properties.

Our Good & Proper Signature Matcha is made from the young leaves of the spring harvest of the Okumidori cultivar.

Smooth, sweet and beautifully creamy, this stone-ground matcha delivers a vivid green cup with a silky texture and deep umami character. With very little astringency and a naturally rounded finish, this is a more refined expression of matcha - one that’s best enjoyed simply, whisked with water as Usucha.

Store in a cool dry place, or even better tightly sealed in the fridge!

Sift 1.5g (1 tsp) matcha powder into a small, wide-sided bowl. Add 80ml hot (around 80°C, not boiling) water - just a little at first to make a paste with no lumps, followed by the rest - then whisk until smooth and frothy.
