Product Information
The colour is a bright and clear yellow gold. The first nose is very fresh and expressive with notes of hawthorn, lilac, wild white flowers and fruit notes such as pear, plum and Mirabelle. The palate is straightforward with light notes of violet. Citrus fruits aromas dominate in this cuvée: lemon drops and grapefruit aromas sustained by fruit aromas (pear, plum) thus confirming the nose. In the mouth, we can find aromas of citrus caviar and grapefruit. The finish has a long lasting, refreshing note with a hint of saltiness, and ends with notes of lemon.

History
Gosset is the oldest wine house in Champagne. It was founded in Aÿ in 1584 by Pierre Gosset an alderman and wine-grower who made mostly red wines. At that time the region's still wines competed for pride of place on the best tables of France with the wines of Beaune which were made from the same grape varieties as they are today.

Serving suggestions
This Champagne is perfect with a rack of pork, duck breast with figs or prunes, and scallops, or can be enjoyed simply with oysters. For dessert, it would work particularly well with a rhubarb tart, for example.
