Regional information

Our “Grands Vins de Champagne”, each with their own distinctive personality, reflect the authenticity and diversity of the region's terroirs & draw their generosity from carefully selected grapes grown in 140 hectares of vines across the whole of the Champagne region. This provides us with a large palette of crus with which to work and allows us to create harmonious Champagnes from one vintage to the next, ensuring that the Gosset style lives on & remains instantly recognisable year after year.

Tasting notes

This Champagne has a luminous, golden hue. The nose is fresh and fruity with notes of lemon meringue pie, yellow plums, and, as it warms, hints of honey and toasted notes. The palate is rich and structured, with natural flavors of hawthorn and white flowers supported by a fine acidity from citrus fruits.

Producer

Founded in Aÿ in 1584, Champagne Gosset is the oldest wine house in the Champagne region. A key characteristic of their winemaking style is the avoidance of malolactic fermentation, which preserves the natural freshness and fruitiness of the grapes, resulting in wines renowned for their age-worthiness.

Serving suggestions

Perfect as an aperitif, this Champagne also pairs beautifully with a range of dishes, including cheese puff pastries, pâté en croûte, roasted chicken, and cheeses like Comté or Parmesan.

Winemaker

This cuvée is a blend with a predominance of Pinot Noir, which provides structure, refreshed by Chardonnay for an elegant, mineral finish. The wine is aged for a minimum of four years in the cellars before release. The dosage is kept low to maintain a balance between freshness, fruit, and vinosity without masking the wine's character.

Vinification details

Vinification in stainless steel vats & traditional ageing on lees to avoid premature oxidation. Malolactic fermentation is carefully avoided to preserve the wines' naturally fruity aroma and ensure perfect conservation.
