Tasty to the bone what can you expect from a duck people laughably term a dead animal. Don't buy if you are a vegan. Do buy if you want a lovely and satisfying meal
It is delicious!
Tastes amazing, good portions and very tenter. I really recommend it :)
I bought this for delivery late Sunday evening, cooked Tuesday. Still within use by date by when cooked smelt very bloody and like a dead animal. Its vacuum packed and looked fresh enough. I only seated it as instructed but not sure Id want to it from Ocado again. Ive bought the same product packaged in the same way from a butcher in north London, but very different in quality - maybe the way its stored ??
Followed instructions - and it came out perfectly and was so tasty. I put a splatter guard over frying pan, then put in hot tin for oven and put Pak Choi into the duck fat in the frying pan on low light, again used splatter guard, and the result was a really delicious well cooked tasty meal. I also added a bit of Maldon Salt before frying to skin. Regarding red tractors, the notes are there to be read on website before buying, so for those people who prefer say wild duck there are many farmshops/butchers around!
not humane conditions for the ducks
Red tractor does NOT mean free range or anything close to organic, it means very little, one step up from terrible treatment. Its a marketing gimmick to make you think the standards are ok. Ocado- give us a better alternative!
Problem meat? Avoid until clarified.
Perhaps some hygiene issues where this meat is produced? Has now caused me stomach upsets on two separate occasions. Needs to be investigated.
